The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as fleeing the country by boat in very stormy waters.. These experiences show how brave and courageous this refugees. Other words or ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves are very tough people because they have endured so much pain and loss in their life due to this war.
The individuals in this social group are different from one another because some refugees are from the North and others from the South. An example of this is that both region have come together to escape. Successes that the group has faced has been is that they made it to new places like Italy, Greece and the USA. Challenges that the group has faced is are the horrid terrain conditions.
The challenges that individuals in this group face that other people outside the group might not understand are the challenges they faced to get out of their worn torn country. I think that others can do the following to understand this social group by asking them about their journey and asking how they managed to get through all of their troubles. Assumptions that people might make about people who identify within this social group is that they are terrorists. Stereotypes can negatively affect individuals who identify within this group because they feel the they have to act a certain way to please others, change their beliefs, and in some cases stop wearing their religious clothes. Stereotyping is wrong because is make certain group of people feel wrong and hurt about something that doesn’t apply to them.
Communities can volunteer and work with these refugees to help individuals within this social group and understand there story. This will help the social group because you can make new friends and help these people out . What I can do in particular to help this social group is is talk and listen to the stories they hold.
