Refugees

The social group I chose are refugees. They are known for working at farms because they say it helps their physical health. In this article is says that the people make refugee camps for them to stay but they didn’t let them go so one family couldn’t leave. The refugees are suffering from natural disasters that are going on where ever they are. More refugees are coming to the U.S. for their families safety or their children's education and health. But mostly they want to survive.

In the stories that people tell about the refugees is that they say “The family lived in a tent in the desert without running water for a few days before relatives living in a nearby city came to get them. However, camp guards did not let the family leave, citing a lack of paperwork, so they escaped into Jordan.” Fresno family represents the plight of Syrian refugees by Fresno Bee, this article explains that being a refugee means that people can’t choose what they want to do. A bunch of refugees are forced to leave their homes and natural disasters in their countries. In my experience I don’t share things that these people have been through. However the refugees are kind of like modern people, they want to see family and friends but they don’t have a choice to. For example in this article “As many of the migrants languished in poverty in camps on the outskirts of California communities, some locals warned that the newcomers would spread disease and crime. They advocated harsh measures to keep migrants out or send them back home.” This means the refugees don’t have a choice to do things they want to do.

Individuals from the groups are different from each other because they have been through different things in their lives that cause bad things to happen to them. Refugees travel all over and suffer through things that they cant get out of. A success that they have is to only work so they can get a job and provide food and shelter for their children. In this article in the section more refugees are coming to the U.S., the government said that more refugee are moving to the U.S. to provide a home for their relatives because they are like us, they have families and lives that they don’t want to lose.

The challenges with the refugees are the amount of natural disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and heat waves that are everywhere and they can’t do anything to help. Also it is hard for refugees to travel anywhere because people are sometimes looking for them if they do something bad also other people in their groups are dangering the people trying to live.  The stores are going to get more expensive in things so it would be harder to buy. Refugees have less luck than others because they don’t have money loss and they don’t have a place to stay so the refugees are homeless until the camps find them. The camps don’t let anybody out to leave if they can live on their own. They want workers to stay there and the children of generations to work their so they don’t have freedom.

Some refugees are suffering through camps and other people that are trying to hurt them and make them work to support their families and friends. The stories that people tell the refugees are acting like they are slaves or they have no place to go in this world because some are really really poor and they can’t do anything about it. More individuals from the same groups are separating because of other refugees moved from place to place. The government states that more refugees are coming into the U.S. and they are letting them come in to support each other. Challenges that they face are like natural disasters that lose their people to save others or others can’t make it all of the way cause of illness of traveling so far all over just to find refugee camps to stay at.
