The group I choose was individual with disabilities. This social group faces problems with being welcome in certain places. They also have a hard time living a normal life. People are often off put my interacting with this group. People are trying to make this group more talked about in the world. This paper will be talking about how this group struggles with everyday things and their diversity with others not in the group.
These stories show that it is sometimes hard to be apart of this group because of the circumstances they are in with their problem.Other words this group might describe them self as is mentally challenged. These are problems that they were born with that they have to deal with every day. At my school there are students that have disabilities and they are treated equal, to the other students. Students also try to make them feel included in school work and activities. I was reading this article that talked about this boy with autism who was sitting alone at lunch until a college football player named Travis, visiting the middle school sat down with him. They said it was hard for Bo, the boy with autism to make friends in school. Bo was so happy when this happened he said “It's been awesome. Everyone was so proud of me.”
All of the individuals that have the problem have different disabilities they are dealing with. They also have different needs to each person. Some success that are in this group is making friends with people because sometimes people are off put by these people. Some challenges they experience are playing sports. As I was reading through the article with a boy named Hasaan Hawthorne who is 18 that wrestles with no legs. During his time wrestling he went 37-0 during the season and won the states championship. Hasaan also loved to play baseball and he never had a problem because he use prosthetic legs to play. They say he played just as well as the other kids. Hassaan has had so many successes in his time of playing sports. The perspectives missing from this article were his parents.
In conclusion, this group has a lot of struggles but hey have found ways to deal with these problems. Like in my first paragraph it talks about this college football player that ate lunch with this kid with autism because no one else would sit with him. In my second paragraph it show how this high student with no leg wrestled and won a championship even with his disability. In the last paragraph to say that this girl named Rosie who is six, plays her favorite sport T-ball with part of her left leg missing. This group shows that they have struggles, but they have found ways to come over them to make themselves stronger.
