Imagine

Imagine… imagine your whole entire life, from the past and to the future, all ended. All ended for something that you did not do. Now see, this does happen and it happens to the people who don’t deserve anything anywhere near, The Innocents. There have been approximately 17,250 homicides in two thousand sixteen. That is just the ones reported. With that statistic that averages to about forty three murders a day. Forty three lives taken and not by natural death causes. Imagine that, imagine that being you, your life.https://qz.com/1086403/fbi-crime-statistics-us-murders-were-up-in-2016-and-chicago-had-a-lot-to-do-with-it/
The victim's family gets hurt like no other, the young and elderly going through the traumatic loss. The biggest impact in most situations is on the parents of the souls. When the parents or guardians are still alive and they lose their child, it hurts more than anything. As the saying goes “Parents go before their children”, it's hard to imagine that vice versa. The powerful group Momo (Mothers of Murdered Offspring) is an organization for families and mothers to get together and help better bare their pain from losing someone. Momo offers hope, life inspiration and guidance. Personally, I do not like to call these deceased individuals “Victims”. They're not objects or lables, they are people. Using polite nouns show more respect for them, such as; departed, spirit, soul, ect. Their “literal” name including how they passed on would be a homicide victim. I share the experience of being the daughter of a murdered father. My innocent father, Angelo, was killed in April of 2014 due to the improper anger management held by a coworker. I stay forever grateful. https://homicide.latimes.com/post/angelo-armani-eppolito-autry
These individuals in this collection are different from others, especially noncomparent to the ones who were killed because of their wrong actions. This collection is the victims who have been killed due to something way beyond their control, innocence. When asked who do you have more sympathy for, the innocent or the guilty? The average person would almost immediately be consumed with compassion for the innocent. Ask yourself. In my beliefs, the successes gifted to the innocent homicide victims is that they are granted into heaven. The challenge faced is that their life was sadly and abruptly ended when it was not deserved.
The challenge that the murderers of the innocents face that other people outside of the group might not understand is having to live the rest of your life with the guilt of murder weighing down on your soul. I firmly think that others can simply put themselves in their shoes to better understand the killers minds. We all make mistakes, but do we all forgive? Assumptions that people might make about these life enders could be that they do everything with pride and regret nothing. However, more than not, they are drowning themselves with regret, sorrow and guilt. Stereotypes can negatively affect the murdures because it can cause harm to them. Many feel that all lifetakers should be granted with the life sentence from the government. However, this has happened were citizens with high anger towards the killers may bring upon violence. Stereotyping is wrong because even though one can see the wrong in what people have done, they never know the guilties true feelings. There's a difference, a guilty who regrets nothing and a guilty filled with nothing but guilt.
Communities can form better protection, along
with regulations for gun purchasing to help
individuals within homicide cases. This
will help the victims because these support
systems can hypothetically prevent other
homicide deaths to occur. What i can do
in particular to help is I can partake
in a support group to better benefit
the loved ones left behind.
