Women

For centuries women have been seen as property and not been given equal rights. Women all over the world have fought for their rights in society by creating campaigns, activist groups, and marches. Women have been faced with the struggle of not being listened to, not being created equal to men, voting rights, and being belittled by political figures.
Something that i've heard from all of the stories I have read and listened to about women is all women want is to be heard. They want to be taken seriously and looked upon as true members of society. They are fed up with being belittled, undermined, and disrespected. Being apart of this social group I can relate to these attacks on women whether the issues be subtle or serious.

There are many different issues women are passionate about. Historically, one of these issues has been voting rights. The suffrage movement began in . One of the main leaders of the women’s suffrage movement was Susan B. Anthony. The women’s suffrage movement was a campaign led by women to advocate for voting rights and the essential rights of all men and women are created equal. Susan B. Anthony devoted her time to women’s suffrage she traveled near and far to advocate for women and even voted illegally to push for women’s rights. She and Susan Cady Stanton, a women rights activist, created multiple groups and campaigns that pushed for women’s rights, including the American Equal Rights Association, a newspaper called The Revolution, and the National Woman Suffrage Association. It wasn’t until 14 years after Susan B. Anthony’s death that the 19th amendment was passed that gave all adult women the right to vote.
