Women

The social group that i choose was woman in the article women's suffrage its shows that women had a hard time trying to get their rights. The paper that i'm writing is about women's right and how some of the of the people had a big impact in the movement. And what they did to get there women's right.

The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as creating the a weekly newspapers that lobbied for women’s right (Women leaders) . These experiences show how woman that wanted their rights had to do to get the rights they wanted. Other words or ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves are  abolitionist for women's rights and they would also call them self the national women’s party. The experiences that I share with individuals in this social group is that is  have heard people say that women belong in the kitchen and even after women get some rights they still have many people that disagree with womens having rights and the fact that women are able to work in men jobs but they still get payed less then a men does. This experience is different than my experience because woman's back then didn't really have as many right as women have now a days but even now do women still have less rights than women like when they get paid less when working a men's job.

The individuals in this social group are different from one another because they both have different thing that they don't have rights and they all have different things they did  to get their right or sometimes they have different kind of problems like respect to their religions, but there's also some groups that have similar problems like from the article Civil Rights Activist:Dolores Huerta  . An example of this is from the article women's suffrage  they explain that In 1869, this faction formed a group called the National Woman Suffrage Association and began to fight for a universal-suffrage amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Successes that the group has faced was in November 2,1920, more than 8 million women across the United States voted in election for the first time. Challenges that the group has faced happened in 1850, the women’s right movement gathered stream but lost momentum when the Civil War began. Certain perspectives that are missing from this collection are things that men though and if they agreed or disagreed with what the women were doing, or if they tried something to stop it.

The challenges that individuals in this group face that other people outside the group might not understand are from the article Civil Rights Activist:Dolores Huerta where it explains that Dolores Huerta nearly lost her life in 1988 when she was beaten by San Francisco police at a rally protest, she suffered broken ribs and a rupture spleen. I think that others can do the following to  understand this social group is already being done where women are already protested to get there payment the same as what men get paid. Assumptions that people might make about people who identify within this social group could be that women have right why would they want to continue by making problems. Stereotypes can negatively affect individuals who identify within this group because it can make them feel weak and think what they are doing won’t work. Stereotyping is wrong because you never know if your wrong about a person or a group of people.

Communities can get involved in some of the women's protest to help them and not make then think that what they are doing isn’t for anything  to help individuals within this social group. This will help the social group because they would know that people don't just have negative thought on women's rights. I can help by going to the women's march .
