The Traditions of American Indians

The Traditions Of American Indians.

The social group collection that I chose is Native American. I chose this social group because well, I’ll put it this way: Being Native to America is a part of who I am. I’m a brown human. I want to learn about this social group because I found it interesting that I should learn about my heritage.

The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as wanting the ancient ways back. These experiences show how Native Americans are making a comeback. In Other words 65 tribes have been restored with the help of Aspirations Co. And ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves are spiritual people. The experiences that I share with individuals in this social group is that being a brown human is a part of me and everyone on my mom’s side of the family. This experience is different to my experience because well, learning about the ancient ways was one thing. Having the ancient ways during the New School Time Period is another story.

The individuals in this social group are different from one another because they have a different skin color. An example of this is Native Americans come from the Americas. In 1607, the white humans when from Europe to North America. Successes that the group has faced have been quickly learning how to fight. During World War 2, there was a American Indian named Joseph Medicine Crow who was a natural at fighting, he wanted to fight the Nazis and stop them from taking over America. He even stole horses from the enemies. Challenges that the group is facing having to go to war and attling against the US Army. Certain perspectives that are missing from this collection are well there should be no perspectives because stereotyping someone is a bad idea. Like if you have a friend who is a Indian, you expect them to live in a teepee. Well that was the case in the Ancient Time Period but now-a-days, hardly anyone lives in tent.

The challenges that individuals in this group face that other people outside the group might not understand are the language. The source below told me that in the Native American Algonquian language, “Moasi” mean “cat”. I think that others can do the following to understand this social group is to understand their language and celebrate their traditional events. Assumptions that people might make about people who identify within this social group could be spiritual. My mother told me that when an American Indian hunts for a buffalo, they’re not just eating it, they are giving the thanks that god deserved. They praise for spiritual family, for provide the food they need. Stereotypes can negatively affect individuals who identify within this group because it can affect the lifestyle of that particular person. But it shouldn't because being a Native American might be a part of who that person is. Stereotyping is wrong because you're basically judging someone by their looks. Don’t look on the outside, instead try to touch their feelings on the inside.

Communities can celebrate their events to help individuals within this social group. This will help the social group because by studying and celebrating their traditions, you are learning about their accent ways. I can help this particular social group by continuing to help myself. I can’t ignore religion any longer. I should take pride for finding out who I AM. Because I hear the sound of Native American Tribes. I see the astrologys in my spirit. I’m a brown human.
