Latino/a

The social group collection that I chose is Latino American. I chose this social group because I am Latino American myself. I want to learn about this social group because I have a relationship with the social group and I can learn something new I didn’t know.

The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as Law More Latinos grow up in English-only homes, study finds. These experiences show how english is taking over and it leaves other cultures to speak their first language. Other words or ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves are immigrants. The experiences that I share with individuals in this social group is that I have family members that are immigrants. This experience is different than my experience because I myself am not an immigrant.

The individuals in this social group are different from one another because they have a language that is slowly fading away because of English. Successes that the group has faced has been is that they have hope within themselevse.
