Being in a group isn’t your choice - you're given a certain group from the moment you're born. But it shows how some people struggle to even communicate due to language barriers which separates us from the “normal.” I think that Latinos and Latinas experience a part of their lives when someone assumes what they are going to do and eat and talk due to stereotypes. In my eyes, I call myself a beaner which I personally don’t find offensive especially when someone I know calls me a beaner because I know we are joking around and I don’t take many things seriously. I think this group describes themselves as outsiders like a new kid at school, but in they end the become a part of the community.

The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as job interviews for parents in their group struggle in. These experiences show how they have disadvantages while other groups doesn’t have a language barrier. Other words or ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves are somewhat hopeless by not knowing a language. The experiences that I share with individuals in this social group is being in the same position as them having latino parents although my parents didn’t struggle to find a job. This experience is different than my experience because my parents have a great job and never struggled to find a job.

The individuals in this social group are different from one another because they are latino or latinas and have a constant language barrier. An example of this is getting jobs and having horrible job stereotypes. Successes that the group has faced has been getting their citizenship status and finding jobs. Challenges that the group has faced is language barriers getting reasonable paying jobs citizenship status. Certain perspectives that are missing from this collection are the way my group contributes to the society. Maybe requiring courses on Latino and black history could help.
The challenges that individuals in this group face that other people outside the group might not understand are that the stereotypes aren’t right that they are struggling economically . I think that others can do the following to understand this social group: always asks how they are doing and if you can helping with anything they are struggling. Assumptions that people might make about people who identify within this social group could be stealing and jumping the border. Stereotypes can negatively affect individuals who identify within this group because might make it harder for those who were born here with citizenship and are finding a job. Stereotyping is wrong because it’s never right.

Communities can ask them if they need help, to help individuals within this social group. This will help the social group because they might help them with getting the citizenship/ green card. What I can do in particular to help this social group is stop stereotyping them as the people assume who they are.
