In the article “For 6-year-old girl, T-ball shows her a life without limits” by News and Observer, adapted by Newsela staff (10/6/16) Rosie McRackan shows no limits to her life. Missing part of her left forearm and entire right leg she still out on the field having fun. Rosie and I are very similar because both of us show no limits on the baseball field and love the game. When she was smaller her parents didn't think that she would ever walk, but at the age of 2 ½ she had a prosthetic made specifically for running.
Some challenges that affect individuals in this group are that they are bullied because they are different. They get made fun of and are not treated the same. People that are not a part of this social group wouldn’t understand that these kids sometimes don’t graduate high school on time because they don’t finish all there classes that they need. Some assumptions that people have about people who identify themselves with this group are that they have different lives than other people. They may have some limitations that people without disabilities don’t have, but they still have to do things in there everyday life like everyone else.
In conclusion, individuals with disabilities are humans and should be able to live there life just like everyone else and should have no limits. People shouldn't think of them differently because we were all put on earth for a reason.
