Dehumanization of Muslims is the Wrong Course
There are many social groups in the United States that exist. While some social groups are commonly portrayed, there are others worth investigating because they are less known. The American Muslim community has continually been wrongfully oppressed because of the relation that Americans think is between Muslims and terrorists. The American Muslim community has been discriminated against for a long time and it’s time that we take a stand against it for their community.

In an article by CNN, a survey was conducted to find that 8 in 10 people say that Muslims face discrimination in America, higher than any other group. The increase of the amount of discrimination against the Muslim community comes from the 2016 Presidential Race as Donald Trump profoundly shared his opinion about how America “Will Never Forget” the attacks on 9/11 which he uses to defend his beliefs against Muslims.

The Muslim community is mostly identified now as people from Arab descent but American Muslims are now multi-cultural as one-third of the population is African American, one third is of Asian descent and one quarter is of Arab descent and the rest are from all over the world. American think Muslims face discrimination

Communities can work together to help American Muslims and their families from feeling secluded or judged based on their beliefs and cultures. I think the way that American Muslims have been treated and stereotyped to all be a danger to our society is wrong. This group needs more power and help to show that more Americans stand by the Muslim community in the United States.

As a country it’s in our willpower to make every citizen feel proud and safe in the country they live in, being prejudiced and treating people unjustly is not American and against a lot of morals. The way that we are heading is not right and now is the time to stop the hate and discrimination.
