People that have disabilities may have it harder than us. They may have a physical or mental, disability. These disabilities are hard to deal with but they can still do a lot of stuff. These people face the difficulties of not being able to walk because they don't have legs. People with disabilities have the potential to do a lot of the stuff that we do.
Some people with disabilities identify as war vets or natural disaster survivors ect. They may have a harder time living their lives but that doesn’t mean that they’re inhuman. Everyone with a disability should be treated like a human being. People with disabilities may have it harder than us but we are all human in the end.
There are 2 types of groups for people with disabilities, there are
people that have physical disabilities and there are people that have mental disabilities. For example, someone with a physical disability may have lost a limb like an arm or leg. And a mental disability would be someone that has autism or down syndrome. These two groups are very different in a form of physical and mental, disabilities.
People with learning disabilities can do almost everything that we can do. People with learning disabilities are just as smart as us. It is just that their brains will receive information differently than us. Learning disabilities may sound like this terrible thing but kids with learning disabilities just need to be taught in a different manner than other people. There are also people with physical disabilities, they have to overcome so much stuff for example it is hard for them to do sports if they don't have an arm or leg.
Some examples for how our community can help support people with different types of disabilities are donating to charity, volunteering, and creating a positive and supportive environment for them to be apart of. One way that I plan on helping people with disabilities is helping out my cousin who has down syndrome to learn sports.
People that have a disability can do almost everything that we can do. Some identify as war veterans and people that have been diagnosed with something like autism or down syndrome. You can either have a physical or mental disability. People with learning disabilities just learn stuff in a different way so they need a different learning environment. People that have disabilities have to go through so much, no matter if they have a mental or physical disability.
