Asian Americans

The social group collection that I chose is Asian Americans. I chose this social group because I chose at random . I want to learn about this social group because they were better than the other options.

The stories that I’ve read about this social group show experiences such as The South's demographic shift as Asian-American population explodes . These experiences show how the Asian population has been growing in the south . Other words or ways that the individuals in this social group might use to describe themselves as a fast growing group. The experiences that I share with individuals in this social group is none. This experience is (different or similar- choose one) than my experience because different because I was born here and speak english fluently.

The individual in this social group is different from one another because Asian American expect to be better at academic, economics . An example of this is in the podcast  Successes that the group has faced has been being a chef, lawyer and a author. Challenges that the group has faced is being criticised by the locals about not being chinese enough.Certain perspective   that are missing from this collection are his brothers.

The challenges that individuals in this group face that other people outside the group might not understand are language and educational barriers .In the article Tales of Asians' success in America overlook immigrants living on the edge shows the struggles Asian- American encounter everyday.  I think that others can do the following to understand this social group: research their culture . Assumptions that people might make about people who identify within this social group could be that their really good at math or with tech . Stereotypes can negatively affect individuals who identify within this group because the stereotype is that their good at math will make everyone else want them to solve their problems . Stereotyping is wrong because allow people to judgment people and their culture.  

Communities can acknowledge and understand what there problems are to help individuals within this social group. This will help the social group because this help them assimilate into american culture . What I can do in particular to help this social group is try not to stereotype everyone .
